Slash was previously the guitarist for Guns 'N Roses, and now is in Velvet Revolver. He was approached to contribute his likeness to Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, as well as an original guitar composition; his guitar battle (a segue to "Welcome To The Jungle" at the Sharky's venue). He was one of the main driving points in promoting Guitar Hero III, featuring on the cover art, with Judy Nails and Lars Ümlaüt at his side.
Slash is featured as the second boss battle in the game, and wrote an original piece for the battle.
