About Me
My name is Andrew Funk, my friends call me Funk, but online I'm socrstopr. I came up with that as an AIM sn back in high school when I played the position stopper (Center Defense) on my High School soccer team, and I've never bothered to change it. I'm currently 22 and in my 4th (and hopefully final) year of Undergrad at the mighty University of Michigan. I'm working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in German. When I'm not doing work for school or playing GH or RB, I enjoy such activities as Call of Duty 4(now 5) and other video games (I will *always* love Goldeneye 64, even thought I didn't get into it until 2005 >_> ), RISK, hanging out with my wonderful girlfriend or my housemates, soccer, broomball and other sports, drinking, partying and attempting to play my real guitars. Enough about me for now, let's move on.
GH and ScoreHero Origins
During my freshman year at UofM, a friend in my dorm one day mentioned something about "This awesome new game he got with a guitar shaped controller." So one day I went down to his room to check it out, and I was immediately hooked. I played Stellar on medium as my first song and was SO confused :) . That summer I went on god ol' EBAY and bought myself a used PS2, mem card, and a GH1 bundle for about $120 total (pretty good deal if you ask me). I spent the next 6 days marching through Medium, Hard and eventually Expert. I was so proud of myself, I wondered how good I was compared to other people who played, so I did a Google search for Guitar Hero high scores or something like that and found a humble little site called scorehero.com. ... stopping mid-edit for now
Since it's easy and I just learned about it, here are my GH/RB stats! Also, I've recently (January 09) taken to playing GH1 again, and I've moved waaaaay up from where I was. 12 million points, whoddathunkit?!?
