Additions:
The World Series of Video Games (or WSVG) was a series of tournaments which featured Guitar Hero 2 as one of its main attractions. Its competitions were some of the first to be broadcast on national television, and featured some of the largest prizes given out for Guitar Hero for its time.
The entire WSVG was canceled mid-season, and the Guitar Hero bracket (which had its finals in Sweden) was never completed. The reasons given for the cancellation were that revenue from the previous events were not enough to sustain the league, especially because of its extensive televising campaign and enormous event sizes. The WSVG has stated that it wishes to continue expansion in online advertising and their network of websites.
