List of Songs in Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and DLC with Non-Standard Automatic HO/PO Thresholds

170 is standard. Any number higher than that equates to more Hammer-ons HO/POs and any number lower equates to fewer HO/POs.

um...... what does this actually mean? Can someone add an intro that defines HOPO threshold.

It is something to do with midi ticks. I don't undertsnad exactly what the standard for the numbers are, but I know this affects how quick notes have to be to be automatically HO/POs. 170 is the standard, which translates to 8th note triplets. Any note an 8th note triplet or faster will automatically be made a HO/PO. Songs with ones like 250 are 8th note thresholds. Songs with ones like 90 will have less.

I'm sorry, but I have a hard time wording this. Somebody should explain this in the article.

Yeah, sorry I didn't put any explanation, this was just tossed together for ajanata's use when making charts, he might be able to explain it better than I can, I just grabbed the values.

It's the amount of MIDI time allowed between notes for them to be considered HOPOs. 480 units of MIDI time is defined as a quarter note, so do the math from there. I'll make an addition to the page explaining it better at some point in the next few days.

dabears said that 8th notes are 250, so wouldn't that make quarter notes 500? Which is it?

It's 480 for quarter notes (well, technically this CAN be changed, but every HMX .mid uses 480 for this value), and 240 for eigth notes. They just give a slight window of extra room on the HOPO window.

I added what all the common names of all the values are in note form (edit the page to see it). If someone wants to use that if they make an explanation go ahead. Obviously you don't need to put all those values b/c I got a little specific (7:4 tuplets, hehe). For most of them the first value is the exact value and the second is what the game uses for it

Isn't there a way that HMX could patch or re-release Aesthetics of Hate to correct the HOPO threshhold? That song would be a hell of a lot more fun to play if you didn't have to strum absolutely everything...
