Rock Meter

The rock meter is a gauge next to the fretboard showing you how well you're playing. There are three regions: green, yellow, and red. Green means you're doing well, Yellow means you're doing okay, and Red means you're doing poorly. If the rock meter falls to the bottom, you will get booted off stage and fail the song. However, if you're low in the red, the rock meter will flash, warning you that you're going to fail unless you pull yourself together or use star power (in most cases). Star power makes your rock meter rise more quickly, meaning you won't need to do as well to pass a certain section.

Rock Meter Data

Now one might ask, "How much does it take to fail a song?" or "How much do I need to hit to survive?". Well, here's some data on how much it takes to fail and the hit-miss ratios. The info is taken from the Unofficial Rock Meter guide at Scorehero. Credit goes to blackstang98 for finding the data for GH1-GH3. Guitar Hero World Tour Data was found by me.
