The Way It Ends - GH3
The Way It Ends (or TWIE) by Prototype is arguably Guitar Hero 3's biggest test of alt-strumming. Its different to
Knights Of Cydonia's∞ (
KoC⇒) Breakneck Desperado sections in that TWIE is more of a test of Burst Strumming (Think the Darkness Bridges, only much faster) while
KoC⇒ is constant strumming. Some, myself included, would consider Burst Strumming a lot harder because the pause you must take in between the bursts feels rather unnatural and it can be quite hard to keep the same speed once you return to strumming.
After the choruses (A.K.A the famous flying penises) You are thrown into a slow bridge, but just when you feel like there's a break you get two shredding solo's thrown at you one after the other.
After this you are thrown back into strumming, and the song then finishes.
HellAshes⇒ was the first to FC this song on 30th October 2007 a mere two days after it was released. Despite this it is universally thought of as at least one of the 10 hardest GH3 FC's
