About Me
Hey everyone. My Name is Matt Miller. I am an 18 year old senior in high school, but I will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology next fall with a major in information technology. I'm generally a laid back person and easy to get along with. I try to stay up to date to the latest tech/gaming news.
I don't watch a huge amount of TV but i do have a few shows which I enjoy, like Scrubs, House, Family Guy, The Colbert Report, Sportscenter and Good Eats.
I'm a big music fan in general and I'm open to a variety of genres, But without a doubt
Buckethead∞ is my favorite to listen to, generally because he has a myriad of styles which he plays and he seems to always have something new I've never heard before.
I'm also an avid Ultimate Frisbee player in the summer, which i started to play around 3 years ago and love to play it just as much now as i did then.
Guitar Hero and Introduction to Scorehero
I first got into Guitar hero was back when guitar hero 1 just came out. My buddy got it and I played it and instantly loved it. I went out and bought it a few weeks later. I started out on medium and quickly got through hard and started on expert in a few days. It took me a while to beat cowboys from hell, since it forced me to learn how to alt strum and since then I alt strum everything. The same friend that showed me GH also showed me
Scorehero∞. I joined very early to SH, way before it was at the whopping 300,000 members it it now. When i joined in winter '06 and started putting scores in it was at about 5,000 members. I wasn't very high ranked then and struggled to 5 Star about 30 songs and wasn't very intense on the game before GH2. I also started playing right handed even though I am a natural lefty.
Favorite Songs: No One Knows, Get Ready 2 Rokk
Guitar Hero 2
I bought GH2 the day it was released. I remember the first song i played was "Woman" and it took a few songs to realized that HO/PO's worked now. This made me start to play GH2 more than any other game at the time. It took a long while to 5 star all the songs, but in the summer of '07 I 5 starred "Six" for my last 5 star in GH2.
I was and still currently am in a Co-op band with the friend that introduced me to GH.
Scores∞ We go back to GH2 often and always increase our scores.
For me, GH2 was the best the GH series and GH1 is a close second.
Favorite Songs: Less Talk More Rokk, Six
Guitar Hero 80's
I got this on the day of release. I quickly 5 starred all the songs in about 2 days, granted there was only 30 of them. I quickly got bored of it due to its small setlist of mostly songs i didn't know. Recently i have gone back to it and enjoy it much more now that I am more knowledgeable on music in general.
Favorite Songs: Wraithchild, Seventeen
Guitar Hero 3
Also got this game on day of release and enjoyed it for a short while and got about 35 FC's before I couldn't stand playing it anymore. I didn't like the way Neversoft made the series go and thought the did a sub-par job making the game. Though I do think it has the best soundtrack of all the GH games. At this time, i went and played GH2 customs as a new thing to play.
Favorite Songs: 3's & 7's, F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X, Take this Life
Rock Band
After abandoning the GH series after GH3, i jumped ship to Rock Band for PS3 where i knew Harmonix knew how to make a Music game. I hated the strat so i never really played guitar until the TAC adapter was released so i could use my PS2 SG guitar. After that i started putting in scores and quickly broke into the top 10 leaderboards on SH. Favorite Songs: Electric Version (Where the hell is the New Pornographers DLC!?), Pleasure (Pleasure).

Rock Band 2
By this point i have gotten all the RB DLC and join a great band "Interrobang!". Still enjoying this game tremendously and my favorite GH/RB game yet. I am currently pretty high ranked on guitar at 3rd with over 65 FC's, but i know a lot of top PS3 players haven't entered scores yet, so I'm guessing i am about 5 or 6th.
