Rocking out at the WSVG (2007)
I participated in the World Series of Video Games (WSVG) Guitar Hero 2 competition in 2007. It started with a random road trip to the first stop of the tour in Louisville, KY with a couple of friends from school... I somehow managed to come in 4th place, which earned me some cash and a free trip to the next stop in Dallas, TX. I did alright in Dallas, placing 9th, and made the decision to go ahead and arrange to drive up to Toronto, ON for the third stop. I barely managed to make it to the "Round of 8" (the best 8 scores from the "Round of 16" moved forward), but then did well enough in that round to land another 4th place overall finish. It's a shame the rest of the tour was canceled, but I remember it fondly because it was where I met most of the Guitar Hero people I've ever met, and what started me down the long road of ScoreHero obsession. :)
