Wiki Feature Requests

Easy ones

• Remove redirect pages from the PageIndex, so they aren't cluttering up the list
• An action that can be used to mark things that need to be verified/corroborated, such as {{verification_needed}} or {{verify}} or some such. It doesn't need to do anything complex, it could simply insert this image: . The purpose is to clearly designate information that needs to be checked on.
• Add a giant warning when someone tries to create a page the same as their name. 99.9% of the time this will be someone creating their userpage in the wrong place.
• Remove standard wikka auto-linking entirely, it seems to cause more problems than it solves.
• An action for the homepage that displays and links the last 5 additions or changes to the wiki.
• On RecentChanges and PageIndex, automatically link user's names to their user page.
• Exclude scorehero.com and rockband.scorehero.com from the Referrers pages.
• Add "Verification Needed" title attribute to {{verify}}
• "D.O.A." still auto-linking for some reason (JC: this is intended behavior because a redirect page actually exists -- it only blocks automatic links to wiki pages that don't exist)
• Page History seems to cap at 20 with no way to see further back revisions, even though they are still stored in the database.
• Need a move/rename page functionality
• Ability to add a custom stylesheet to a page, this may be necessary to prevent people from doing entire pages in HTML.

Harder ones

• Some sort of automatic table-of-contents functionality. Adding a TOC is an extremely common function and it seems pretty tedious at the moment.
• Extend RecentChanges functionality, so that you can page back through as many changes as you want
• Some sort of action for use on userpages that can fetch data from the SH database, so everything doesn't have to be manually updated all the time
• For example, something like {{mystats rank,gh3,expert}} (or however arguments are passed) that would be replaced in the view with my GH3 expert rank at the time
• Auto-linking for common words/phrases that will be used a lot on the SH wiki, like "Guitar Hero", any song name, etc.
• Add ability to watch pages for changes/comments, so I don't have to check my userpage / other pages I'm working on constantly
• The "freticon block" we discussed, making it easier to define strings of freticons
