Wiki Rules and Standards
Do's and Don't's
- Do keep related information in just one wiki article as opposed to spread across multiple. For example, "TTFAF"⇒ doesn't need it's own wiki article, any information contained would be better suited for the Song_GH3_ThroughTheFireAndFlames main song page∞.
- Do provide a link to the original source of information when available to use as a reference. Many ScoreHero jokes and memes don't make much sense outside of their original context. Providing a link to the original occurrence would help alleviate that.
- Do include links to existant topics that you mention in your article. For example, if you mention the song Song_GH2_Jordan Jordan∞ from Game_GuitarHeroII Guitar Hero II∞, make all instances of the word a link back to it's own topic.
- Do use the {{songinfo}} action to include the artist, album, genre, and year for a song, rather than editing it into the main section of the article. Example: {{songinfo artist="Smash Mouth" album="Astrolounge" genre="Alternative Rock" year="1999"}}
- Don't post tabs for songs. Those have always been more on the illegal side and are unnecessary on SHWiki.
- Don't post lyrics for songs UNLESS it is in relation to the vocal chart as found in the Rock Band platform or Guitar Hero World Tour. Be sure that the lyrics are accurate to the chart found in the game, some songs have had lyrical changes from their studio version, usually to conform to the T rating.[1]
- Don't create an article concerning a topic that is not related to ScoreHero, Guitar Hero or Rock Band. That's what Wikipedia∞ is for.
Standardized wiki page format
Page Title
InfoBoxes should be used to call attention to facts and statistics that would be of most interest to users so they can quickly and easily see it. This is currently a float, but it will be replaced with an infobox once we have that functionality.
- Introductory Paragraph
Give basic information about the subject of the page, please include links to other wiki articles that are mentioned. The first time you mention the topic, be sure to put it in bold face, this looks better overall. For example; the
Wiki Rules and Standards are in place to ensure high quality and consistency among the various wiki articles.

References
When making mention of something else to support your article, be sure to include a reference that backs up your claim. You can do this by placing a superscript number next to the section or word in the article that you have a reference to, and then place that same number down here in the reference section along with a brief description and link to the source.
