Playing Guitar Hero with a Standard Controller

All of the Guitar Hero games so far are also playable on the standard controller, in case of the player not having a guitar controller. Unfortunately, this is not possible on Game_RockBand Rock Band∞ or Guitar Hero World Tour. The mechanics are completely different, as there's no strumming and there is no Hammer-ons HOPOs∞ , except for Game_GuitarHeroIIILegendsOfRock Guitar Hero 3∞ and Game_GuitarHeroAerosmith Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, where the player can hold the lower notes and play the higher notes, making trills and faster solos easier to play, as the player doesn't need to play every note. • Green = L2
• Red = L1
• Yellow = R1
• Blue = R2
• Orange = X
• Whammy = Left Analog Stick (or Right Analog Stick in GH3 or GH:A)
• Star Power = Select (or any direction on D-Pad in GH3 or GH:A)

Xbox 360

• Green = Left Trigger (LT)
• Red = Left Bumper (LB)
• Yellow = Right Bumper (RB)
• Blue = Right Trigger (RT)
• Orange = A
• Whammy = Left Analog Stick (or Right Analog Stick in GH3 or GH:A)
• Star Power = Back (or any direction on D-Pad in GH3 or GH:A)

Wii

• Green = B (Trigger)
• Red = Right on D-Pad
• Yellow = A
• Blue = 1
• Orange = 2
• Whammy = Moving or shaking the Wiimote back and forth, away from you and towards you (example∞)
• Star Power = Up or Down on D-Pad
