About Me
Hey, I'm Mike. I'm a big fan of Hero and Band and play them on a daily basis. I'm currently in 8th grade, this is gonna be my last year of middle school before I go up to high school. Before Guitar Hero, I didn't really play many music games. There was a short time period of about half a year when I played DDR quite a bit. I started playing Guitar Hero in November of 2007, starting with Hero III. I have played through all the difficulties, and currently play on
Expert. I rarely ever play on
Hard. I also play Rock Band drums, mostly on Expert and some songs on Hard.

Guitar Hero
I first started playing Guitar Hero when I purchased Guitar Hero III for the
Wii. I started on the
Easy difficulty, which I beat with no hassle (except for the one time I failed Blood). I moved up to
Medium during that same month, and played on Medium until the day after Christmas. On Christmas, I got a 360 - and lots of money. The day after, I went out to Best Buy and bought myself Hero II on the 360. This would be my first venture onto the
Hard difficulty. I failed Woman on Hard, and stopped playing for a short while. I eventually completed Hard career. Those would be my only two Guitar Hero games I had until March, when I bought Rock Band. During the time in which I had no new games, I moved up to
Expert (my first Expert song was Bulls on Parade). I sped through Rock Band Expert career, and hit a wall when I reached Green Grass and High Tides (which I have now gold-starred). For a month, that was the only song I had not beaten in Rock Band. In April, I took advantage of the Guitar Hero III Wii refund offer that Activison had on their website. I obtained $132, with which I bought the 360 version of Guitar Hero III. Once I bought that, I played through Expert career to unlock all the songs. Things were relatively quiet for a while, until the night of June 11th, 2008. I randomly decided to do a run of Jordan on Expert, and unexpectedly beat it. Hands shaking, I ran to the computer to tell my friends. The next morning, I played Through the Fire and Flames on Expert, and beat that! After the most unexpected streak of amazing playing, I kept going. I learned how to tap, how to
squeeze, and started using the Select button more often. In June of 2008, I invested in a copy of Guitar Hero and an SG on the
PS2⇒. I played through the ENTIRE game in one day! I've probably invested more time into the first Guitar Hero than all the others. In September of 2008, I bought a used copy of Hero Encore: Rocks the 80's - I also beat that in one day. During that same September, I bought Rock Band 2 (game only) for the 360. I spent days going through the Expert tour. Since then, I have improved and still play every day... and all of this brings us here, over a year after my first purchase of a Guitar Hero game.
