Video Game History:
Began with an NES and Super Mario Brothers, developed a strong interest in RPGs after his grandparents sent him a copy of Dragon Warrior they had finished. Owned a SNES, Playstation, PS2, and now a PS3. Also has built PC systems for gaming, notably for Valve games...but Rock Band has stopped his playing Team Fortress 2 altogether. Rock Band and Chronotrigger are tied for the greatest video games ever made, in this fellow's humble opinion.

Rhythm Games:
I own almost every Harmonix rhythm game, starting with Amplitude. Was late to the Guitar Hero party, but did pick it and GH2 up. Rock Band was played purely casually until finding a band to play with - the original makeup of Interrobang!. This spurred me to begin entering in scores, purchasing every DLC song available, and in general abandoning all of my other video game loves. Primarily a guitarist and bassist, I plays drums on expert almost as much, and picked up a mic stand so as to play drum/vocals (a mode I prefer to call "vocussion", as that sounds far more elegant than "voxdrums"...not to mention has the word "cuss" in there)...but fully diving into vocals was put off until RB2.

RB2 Goals:
Full band play with Interrobang! is infinitely more important than solo play. Solo play is really a deficient mode of full band play in Rock Band, and I am excited to jettison the antiquated approach of "let's compete on solo scores focusing on those songs that come with the game". There are hundreds of songs and hundreds more to come, and I am excited by the many different ways to approach competition in this game. Career score is a dinosaur!

That being said, I would like to be competitive on all instruments. I have two primary goals in mind:
1. Compete for top overall combined score across all instruments (that means, every song, on-disc, imported, and DLC, played on expert across all instruments. The top "total total score", if you will).
2. More specifically, I am going to shoot for 1000 FCs by the year's end - out of a possible 2000 available by that time. This has led to the formation of a rivalry/race with his bandmate 87 internetguy87 to see who can reach their first. I will keep track of our progress here on this page.
