Hi, my name is Daniel but people mostly call me Dan Soup. I live in Wales (that bit next to England) and I spend my days playing video games, cruising the 'net (it's like surfing, but with more style) making YouTube videos and reading. I decided to make my wiki page after seen ManfredVonKarama, IWillKickU⇒ and TheThirdDay's wiki pages (among others). This is mainly here to tell you a bit about myself and to keep track of my FCs and things.

I've loved videogames since I was very little, but I've never been that geeky over them (unless I wanted to be, so I could get people to go away >_> ) My first videogame memory is of playing/ watching my brother and sister play Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on the Sega Megadrive (aka, Genesis). Since then I have had:

As you can see, I'm quite a big Nintendo fan. They're not as good as they once were, they don't seem to know what gamers want any more and are not able to make anything online good. I only got the PS2 for Guitar Hero (as you'll read later on) but things like my DS are going unused. I still play games on my Wii and I have my Mega Drive set up but my N64 is unloved. I'm currently trying to get some controllers off a friend so that I can use it again (my N64 controllers are busted, the joy sticks are looser than your mothers- *gunshot* ).

My favourite game of all time is Lylat Wars (Starfox 64). One incredibly weird thing about this is that I never clocked very high scores on it and I never even unlocked hard mode (although I'm currently working on the VC version). I enjoyed the game for what it was. I must also mention that I really like both Zelda OoT and Zelda MM for N64 aswell (I consider them the two best games ever made).

My gaming set up consists of a roughly 20 inch Philips regular TV with the ability to be easily hooked up to a PS1, PS2, Wii and Mega Drive. The TV is connected to a Technics V 300 Mark II amp which is connected to two 60W speakers.

On the 21st April 2007 Dan Soup decided he was going to set up a YouTube account, thus TheRealDanSoup∞ was born (DanSoup was already taken). On the same day he uploaded a short video of his ferrets∞ (both of which have sadly passed away since).

It was the start of something big. After uploading an additional eight videos straight from my camera I discovered Windows Movie Maker on my laptop.

Now things were getting interesting.

Sam Hates Me∞ (NSFW) was the first video I put any work into. My friends enjoyed it immensely and my time on YouTube officialy started.

From 21st April 2007 to 16th April 2008 I uploaded over 84 videos, at which point I changed YouTube channel, although I have uploaded an additional three videos to the old channel that I felt didn't fit in on my new channel. A compilation of all my videos can be seen HERE∞.

My new channel, called TheNewDanSoup∞, was formed 12th April 2008 and is where I post vlogs and sketches and anything else I think of.

I like most kinds of music, although I hate jazz, the vast, vast majority and hip-hop and almost all rap. Rock, metal and cheesy classics are what I'm into, including Dragonforce (mostly their slower stuff), Queen, Madness, Bang Camaro, Down Within, Lordi, Shinedown and many other bands that I won't mention because I only know one of their songs. >_>

I got my uke and it's, well, really shit. :/

I will have to get a better one if I even THINK about trying to play anything. I got a keyboard for christmas, which I have been fiddling with. Both instruments should complement each other.

I really like sitcoms on TV. I have a rule where I consider a sitcom is not worth watching if it's American AND has canned laughter. The only exceptions to this rule that I've encountered are The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and My Wife and Kids. I mainly watch British sitcoms though.

I enjoy reading fantasy and sci-fi books. My favourite book series are "Discworld" by Terry Pratchett, of which I've read 20+ books, and "His Dark Materials" by Phillip Pullman.

I also knit. I haven't knitted anything substantial yet but I'm working on a scarf. I find it really relaxing and I think it's a cool skill to have.

When I first joined ScoreHero I just posted scores and lurked around the place, but finaly got into posting. You can see what a post-phobe I am, as my posts per day isn't even 1.

I first came to ScoreHero trying to work out how to make custom songs, and somehow managed to find out WITHOUT going into a random forum and saying "lol can u help me mak custoom songz thanks!!!11". Even though, I have NEVER managed to get around to making a custom disk, mayby one day, eh? Or I could just get someone to make me one and pay them for... OH SHI-*BANHAMMER*

Now I just stick around ScoreHero for the random, intelligent and downright hilarious conversations that go on. There's a great community on here, one that I haven't experienced on any forum before. (Every forum I ever went on shut down after I left, the one that didn't I left because of a power hungry little CENSORED of a moderator). I generaly hang around all over. I don't pop into the Hardware and Software forums much, though.

On 15th February 2009 I became the 15th person to be featured on the ScoreHero Wiki homepage.

• I own a Legend of Zelda collectors disk for Game Cube that contains Zelda, Zelda II, Zelda OoT and Zelda MM. It was complete luck that I got it, I happened to see it in my local video game store (which was only open for about six months) and reseved it and bought it the next day.
• By all rights I should be an absoloute emo, but I'm not. :D
• Somehow, girls have been able to resist my manly good looks, my charm, my wit and my romantic edge. All this means I am still a virgin.
• I'm a Strongbow drinker, preferably canned and chilled.
• My favourite drink is Welch's Soda. Unfortunately, it not easy to get over here and I can't get it online but there's a shop that sells it not too far away.
• I occasionaly get a twitch which causes my head and upper torso to quickly flick to my left. If this happens, I act like nothing happened. This disconcerts my friends quite a lot.
• So far, I have a documented donation of 10,500 grains of rice on FreeRice∞
• Although I don't drink much, I love to play drinking games. My favourite is a variation of "I've Been To Titan", whch can been seen played in Red Dwarf (VIDEO∞). Basicaly do the rhyme, name whatever it is and the person who can't has to drink a shot, then they start the next rhyme. I am also absoloutly terrible at it.
• I made this bet with ScoreHero (LINK∞) when the first GH:M songs were announced. I didn't have to do it, since those songs weren't in the game. (I didn't actualy say it had to be on GH:M, and it was announced as WT DLC, so I suppose I have to do it >_>)
• My least favourite alcoholic drinks are malibu and yagermeister. This is probably beause I don't like coconut or liquorice.
• My favourite food is pizza, specificaly Chicago Town Take-Away Pepperoni Pileup (the one with the purée in the crust). Otherwise, I love chicken, potatoes, roast beef, gravy, most vegetables, chilli, cottage pie, spaghetti bolognese/ and meatballs and crisps.
• Many people from school thought my surname was actualy "Soup". It isn't. It came from when I ate some soup at a friends house a couple of times. (When I tell this story people get very dissapointed at how boring it is... >_> )
• Because I am British, I type colour, honour and grey. It isn't a typo, just the British way. *thumbs up*
• As you can see from this wiki, I have much too much free time... >___>
• I actualy quite like Red Lottery.
• My least favourite song in any Guitar Hero game or Rock Band is Holywood Nights, I would rather play Yes We Can.
• All I can say is that my life is pretty plain.
• I like watching the puddles gather rain.
• I am roughly 6'2 6'3 6'1 and refer to anyone taller than me as a "big bugger".

Guitar Hero History

I don't know when I first became aware of Guitar Hero, I probably always knew about it from random things on the internet, but I first got really interested when I saw Freddy's legendary YYZ video and I wanted the game since. After playing GH2 on 360 at PC World I was set in my mind, I had to have this game. At the start of summer 2007 I bought a PS2 off a friends and at the end of the summer I had Guitar Hero II with a cherry Gibson SG. I bought Guitar Hero III for Wii with a Les Paul which I received on New Years Eve 2007. At the start of the summer of 2008 I got Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 80s and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. I got my first Rock Band game (Rock Band 1 for PS2) on the 17th January 2009.

When I first got Guitar Hero II, a friend bought it for me (I can't actualy buy things online myself). I went to his house and played for hours, we took each song in turn and played through easy and most of the way through medium (I distinctly remember War Pigs being very long, it must have been on medium since there are no encores in easy). When I first started on hard it absoloutly kicked my bottom. I remember failing on Shout At The Devil so many times it wasn't even funny. Eventualy I made a breakthrough and went through hard and then expert, getting stuck in all the usual places (Rock This Town, Freya, Bad Reputation, Phychobilly Freakout Hard 5*)

I tried making myself a Hard player, but when I got GH3 the loose HOPOs made me move up to Expert. This meant I also moved up to Expert on GHII aswell. GH3 was pretty much a breeze for the most part, and has become my most played GH game so far.

I really enjoy all the games in the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series (bar the OT games, which I've never played and RB2, which I've also never played (DAMN YOU AND YOUR STUPID EU RELEASE DATES, EA!)).

Notable Accomplishments

• On 5th December 2008 at 2:20pm GMT I uploaded a score of 361,752 for Schism on bass. Amazingly, this got me into 1st place on all systems. I was first on all systems for 4 days and 9 minutes.
• I had the first "Anything" bass FC on Wii. This was the third FC cross console. This also meant the first three FCs were on three different consoles.
• I had the first "Cyanide" bass FC on Wii. This was the second FC cross console (WT).
• I was the fourth person to FC the Tool venue on bass on Wii. When I uploaded the final score (Parabola) I was ranked first for the Tool venue on Wii.
• I was the 97th person to FC The Breaking Wheel.
• I was the 100th person to FC Ace Of Spades (GH1).
• I was the 2nd person to FC Black Betty on bass globaly, the first person on Wii.
• I was the 38th person to FC TtFaF⇒ on medium (GH3).
• I 5*d TtFaF⇒ on 14/06/09, that meant that I had 5*d every song on every game I owned on expert (GHI, II, 80s, III, Aerosmith, WT basstar, RB basstar)
